I think that is the actual implication of a mission, one can never have too many units available. It is always preferable to have an excess of troops rather than being vastly outnumbered. Numbers alone do not ensure victory, but the a numerical advantage is significant and allows for greater mobility and more options in strategic planning. However, it is important that the use of numerous units in coordination does not reduce the efficiency of any one units. Should different units be used incorrectly, they may impede one another. Also when planning for an invasion with a larger force than the defensive, it is important that this numerical advantage does not create a sense of overconfidence, or a belief that numbers alone can be substitute for careful planning. Also, having numerous units to deploy tends to lead to more potential variation, which can overcomplicate a mission, contradicting the principle of simplicity. As long as the availability of “too many” troops does not make each on ineffective or overcomplicate the overall plan it should not be viewed as a negative factor.
